Sangkran Phnom Penh Nightlife Celebration

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, the Phnom Penh Nightlife Tourism Community successfully organized the “Sangkran Phnom Penh Nightlife”, a festive event held in celebration of the Khmer New Year and to foster unity among community members through a shared meal and cultural activities.​The event was held under the esteemed high patronage and presence of H.E. Kouch Panhasa, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Tourism. Also in attendance were Mr. Ann Seiha, Deputy Director of the Phnom Penh Tourism Department, representing Mr. Morm Vannsa, Director of the same department; along with senior officials from the Department of Tourism, the Chief of Sangkat Phsar Kandal I, the Chief of the Administrative Police Post of Phsar Kandal I, Excellencies, distinguished guests, business owners, and members of the Phnom Penh Nightlife Tourism Community.

The Sangkran celebration featured joyful and engaging activities such as Khmer traditional games, cultural performances, and entertainment programs. These activities aimed to contribute to the promotion of Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage while supporting the growth of the tourism sector by attracting both local and international tourists.

As part of the event, H.E. Kouch Panhasa gave a keynote address, expressing his deep appreciation and full support for the initiative. H.E. emphasized that the formation of the Phnom Penh Nightlife Tourism Community is a valuable and innovative concept, with a clear purpose of enhancing the tourism sector through the development of high-standard nightlife services.
